Kings of Leon headlined this weekends One Big Weekend festival, hosted by BBC in Glasgow, Scotland.  They had something special in store for this performance, as they welcomed Chris Martin from Coldplay up to the stage to help them perform their classic “Fans”.  Check it out above!

Currently, Chris and Coldplay are riding the recent release of “Ghost Stories” and are playing a few shows in Europe, Japan, and Australia in May and June.

Kings of Leon are currently on their “Mechanical Bull 2014 World Tour” in Europe.  The tour crosses the pond into the United States July 31st in St. Louis, Missouri.  They’ll be headlining Lollapalooza in Grant Park on August 3rd.

The Black Keys announced earlier this year that the international leg of their 2014 Turn Blue World Tour would kick off in June in Germany.

Since the announcement of the world tour, fans have been on pins and needles waiting for the U.S./North American leg of the tour to be announced.

Well, wait no more.  Last week, the band announced the dates and locations for the North American leg, which kicks off September 5th in Columbus Ohio and runs until December 21st in Kansas City Missouri.

They will be bringing Cage the Elephant with them on the three month run.

Locally, the tour hits the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee on September 9th and the United Center in Chicago on September 27th.  Tickets for both shows  go on sale this Friday, May 16th.

Chicago based rockers Chevelle are wasting no time getting back out on the road.  Fresh off a run with Middle Class Rut, Chevelle will kickstart their summer 2014 “La Gargola” tour May 17th with their performance at the annual Rock on the Range in Columbus, Ohio.

Locally, the tour will stop in South Bend, Indiana on June 22nd.  A list of all dates is below…

Kings of Leon have announced another leg of their Mechanical Bull tour for later this summer into the Fall.  Of course, the band is headlining Lollapalooza in Grant Park on August 3rd.  If you can’t make it downtown for the show, other dates you can see them are July 31st in St. Louis (the tour’s opening night) and August 23rd in Noblesville, IN.

Motley Crue is set to embark on their “Final Tour” this summer and it’s been known for a few weeks that the band will have a new single to play as they embark on one last run before they call it quits.

In an interview with Guitar World, guitarist Mick Mars revealed the song will be titled “All Bad Things Must Come to an End”. The song will undoubtedly be ready when The Crue kick off their last go around July 2nd in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

After the tour ends, Mars will work on a solo album. He tells the magazine the disc will be “rock and roll with a blues edge to it”.

Motley Crue’s final tour with special guest Alice Cooper will stop at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park August 8th.

Taste of Chicago released the headliners for their five day festival in Grant Park July 9-13.  Tickets for reserved seats go on sale May 22.  Here’s the complete list of headliners…

Linkin Park posted a 1 minute, 14 second video on their Youtube page Monday afternoon teasing their sixth studio album.  The disc will be titled “The Hunting Party” and will be released on June 14th.

Mike Shinoda announced earlier this year that the band was starting work on a new album.

Linkin Park is setting out on the “Carnivores Tour” this summer with 30 Seconds to Mars and AFI.  The tour rolls into the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park August 29th.

 

“Torn to Pieces”, Pop Evil’s third single from their latest album “Onyx”, is rocketing up the charts and could be on it’s way to being the band’s third straight #1 single.  The band released the music video for their latest track, which can be seen above, on PopCrush and Loudwire.com earlier today.

The NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins announced today that they’ll use the band’s first #1, “Trenches”, as their playoff theme song this season.
